The application of Graphite

1、Refractory matter: Graphiteand its products are of thermostability and high-intensitive character. Formetallurgical  industry, graphite ismainly used to producegraphite crucible; For steelmaking, it is used as theprotective agent for steel ingot, the lining of metallurgicalfurnace.

2、Conducting material: Inelectrical industry, Graphite cane be produced to electrode、electric brush、carbon rod、carbon tube、positive pole of mercuryconverter(rectifier) ,graphite gasket、spareparts oftelephone, coating of television kinescope.

3、Anti-friction material: Inmechanical Industry, graphite is used as lubricating agent. Lubricating oil cannot often be used in the condition of high-speed、high-temperature、high-pressure, without lubricating oil, anti-friction graphitematerial can used in high-speed sliding speed when it is at the temperature of200-2000℃. Graphite-made piston cup、seal ring and bearing are widely used in lots of equipment whichtransports corrodent . When the equipment runs, it does not need to addlubricating oil. Graphite is also good lubricating agent for some metalprocessing (wire drawing、stay tube).

4、The chemical stability ofgraphite is good. Through special process, graphite can be with characteristicof corrosion resisting、good thermal conductivity andlow permeability, so that it can be produced to heat exchanger、 reactive tank、 condenser、 burn furnace、congealer、heater、filter、pump.Graphite can also be widely used in Petrochemical、hydrometallurgy、acid-base production、synthetic fibre、and papermaking industrial department, so that abundance metalmaterial can be saved.
